Congratulations are in order for two of our team this week.
We’re pleased to announce that Kate Rahman, one of our Women’s Support Practitioners, has given birth to a baby girl. Mother and baby are doing well. We’d like to offer our warmest wishes to Kate and her family at this special time. Kate is currently on maternity leave until Autumn 2017, but we hope to see her soon for cuddles with the latest junior addition to the Stepping Stones team.
During Kate’s maternity leave her role is being backfilled by Natasha Murray. Natasha has previously volunteered with us so knows us well and has added important new skills and experience to the team. Natasha joins us having just completed her Masters degree in Criminology at the University of Bedfordshire, really relevant study given she will mainly be working with women that have offended. In fact Natasha let slip it was her graduation today, but had chosen to come into work as she had a full day of commitments with clients. We didn’t want her to miss out so we had our own mini graduation ceremony in the office – complete with handmade mortar board and a certificate to show how proud we are!
The pictures above show Kate and our administrator Samera at Kate’s baby shower last month, and Natasha being presented with her ‘certificate’ by Karrina Usher, our Women’s Services Manager.
