The Stepping Stones Trustee Board is responsible for oversight of the charity. This includes ensuring the charity is carrying out its purpose for the benefit of clients, complying with law and managing resources responsibly.

There are currently five Trustees, with the Board always keen to hear from passionate and skilled people who are interested in joining them. More information about becoming a trustee can be found here.

Margaret is a Public Health Specialist independently employed with a particular interest in the population aspects of cancer. In addition to her work with Stepping Stones, Margaret holds other voluntary posts and works to raise funds for charities and community projects. She has been a Luton Borough Councillor, and a candidate for election to the European Parliament.

Niki worked in sales recruitment for 20 years as a Director, managing a very busy London office. She has been involved with Stepping Stones since their conception in 2008.

Having qualified in Marketing, Shirley moved sideways into HR. She has supported Stepping Stones since its conception in various ways including supporting with administration and HR issues, organising Christmas celebrations as well as collection and storage of donated furniture and essential household items and delivering to the women and children of Stepping Stones as need arises.
