Join us for an Orange the World Walk this November. UNiTE to stop violence against women.
On Tuesday 25th November, the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we are taking to the streets of Luton to raise awareness of Gender-based violence. We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Inner Wheel Club Luton North and Azalea for this event.
Globally, almost one in three women have been experienced physical and/or sexual violence at least once in their lifetime. That’s around 736 million women. And every 10 minutes a women or girl is killed intentionally by her partner or family members.
There is #NoExcuse. Help us raise awareness of this shocking injustice by wearing orange and walking with us this November. Let’s UNiTE to stop violence against women.
We’ll be meeting at Stepping Stones HQ from 3 pm for a short Orange the World walk around central Luton followed by light refreshments. The walking party will depart Stepping Stones at 3.30 pm prompt. All are welcome. – men, women and children!
Walkers are encouraged to wear something orange in solidarity with the UNiTE campaign to End Violence Against Women. This bright and optimistic colour represents a future free from violence against women and girls.
