Women’s Support Practitioner

Are you passionate about supporting women who have offended to turn their lives around? Do you have the skills, experience and aptitude to make a difference to the lives of women and their families?

Stepping Stones (Luton) is a local charity looking to recruit a full time (35 hours a week) Women’s Support Practitioner who has experience of working with vulnerable women and women with complex needs.

You may already be working in the women’s sector in a similar voluntary sector role, but equally you may come from related fields; perhaps criminal justice, welfare to work, housing or social care.

Whatever your background, you’ll need to hit the ground running! The role is hugely rewarding, but busy and demanding so you’ll need to be able to manage your time well, be able to keep a calm head and will already have a good knowledge of issues affecting women who have or are experiencing domestic abuse, safeguarding, social care procedures and relevant legislation.

What’s most important though is that you’re able to able to motivate and inspire your clients, working collaboratively alongside colleagues and partner agencies to deliver great services day in day out.
