Practical Support, Skills and Fun

As well as supporting women emotionally, we work with women who want to make changes to their lives – these might be urgent, critical changes to keep you safe, such as finding accommodation, obtaining legal advice or making sure you’re claiming the welfare benefits that you’re entitled to.

Or they might be things that look to your long term goals and future, like getting into work, improving your cooking skills or fitness levels, or meeting new friends.

Our volunteers and women’s support practitioners work one to one with women to help provide practical support in these areas.

We also have an on-site Education Training and Employment Advisor who can work with you to identify goals in relation to employment, training or education and work with you to help you achieve these goals.
