Some women are more equal than others?

The Guardian newspaper recently reported on the court case of Lavinia Woodward, (https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/may/18/lavinia-woodward-stab-boyfriend-prison-oxford ) “aged 24, a lot like our other female convicts.
